jackalope by KingHugin jackalope by KingHugin
so i decided to make a clay doll.
these are just a few pics of it now, i still have to make him look like he has fur and stuff before baking.
he has little flowers on one antler, i don't know why i did that but thought it looked cute.

hes about 10 to 13 inches tall, i dint mean to make him so big haha.

so tell me what you guys think, any comment is appreciated. and if you think i should start making these or not.

sorry for bad quality pictures

art(c) me

The sculpting is really good.
I'm worried about the strength of the antlers, did you put some wire in there? I know, my experience with horns has been terrible and most people make them resin to prevent breakage ;~;

OTHERWISE this is amazing and the flower really caught my attention and make me go "wow this is fantastic"

yes they have a thin wire inside, what i have doubled and twisted.
i dint know that, its so hard to get information on dolls, it seems everyone is so quite haha

thank you, the flowers were a pain to make though ha :3

I mostly use FA, but I have a clean gallery and I actuallt have several tutorials up- www.furaffinity.net/user/waffe…
I have most of them linked in my profile. ;u;  They are quite dated though! If you take a look at my WIP shots you'll see I use pipecleaners for armatures and I have changed up some other techniques and materials too.

The way I do things is definitely not the only way, and maybe not the best way either, but I saw your comment and felt bad!  If you have any questions feel free to ask.

You doll is coming along so well!  I love the shape of the head and those cute beady eyes especially~ :')

it's definately a niche that people want to keep that way. But there are allot of talented artists who are willing to share some of their techniques and :iconposeableartdolls: is a great place for tips, tutorials and other stuff as i'm sure you've found out or will eventually :)

i know if i figure it all out i will help anyone who needs it. I've had to go to so many craft shops to ask for advise, or look at wip's and just guess.
yes I've found this group to help me quite a lot, there are some incredible talent artists here.
